A complex matrix pattern produced on a photosensitive medium, which is created by modulating a laser beam in conjunction with an object, and forms the basis for manmade holograms.
An intrinsic property of all holograms is that, if the holograph is broken up into smaller pieces, the complete hologram would still be present in every piece.
