The void we have created in our awareness that separates us from our Heavenly Father.
It is within this void, that the nightmare we call our lives are lived.
The ego is an unreal proposition in the Reality of God, but it is a proposition that does real damage to the souls that choose to live their lives through it.
Ego represents a state of being, which is ignorant of and continues to refuse God's Love.
In this void, souls continue to invest in unkindness and greedy living, and call it "progress."
Almost all interactions with others, are interactions with each other's ego.
Ego is our self-conscious mind.
Heart, is the 'unconscious' or the subconscious part of us.
In living through what we know as the conscious thought process, is actually a living that ignores the unconscious or subconscious part of us.
In other words, we are living in separation from ourselves and from God.
The gifts of unwholesome pleasures that the ego bribes us with, in order to keep us imprisoned to its will, are all rotten, and must be thrown out and buried.
Real pleasure and power begins to be our constant companion, when we yearn with all our hearts for oneness with our Heavenly Father. HOM
