Introduction: Evolution

31.  The objective of all our education must become self-exploration. ²Not the warped exploration of selfishness, but the holistic exploration of the basis for our humanity. ³The objective of our religious quest would lead us to what is responsible for us being here. ⁴It will provide the answers for where we came from and where we are going.  ⁵We will discover that unlike what many ‘scholars’ say, we did not evolve from some “lower life form.”  ⁶The probability against that is a clear statement of impossible!  ⁷We will recognize ourselves as belonging to a totally different group of life form; not plant, not animal, but an order so distinct, we commonly refer to it as being human.

32.  Our understanding will lead us to the unseen; the domain populated by quantum physicists and religionists alike; both vying for the newest fable to explain consciousness, soul, and such like.  ²Both believe that what they can adequately define, they can own and therefore control.

33.  The misguided religious leaders see death and soul as their domain of control: to damn a soul to ‘hell’ and purgatory, or to lift it up to heaven and bliss. ²The dishonest physicists see within their ‘invented’ formulas and equations the opportunity to obliterate the hope of an afterlife, by assuming that at death ‘all is lost.’  ³However, the honest physicist sees things differently, for to him or her, an indivisible eternal particle and potential must exist.  ⁴To them, the order that arises from what appears as chaos must be intelligently guided. ⁵With the scientists and religionists that are honorable, we see the continuation of true science arriving at true causes.

34.  In nature, we see the echoes of an all-encompassing intelligence: a providence that beats all the improbable statistical odds against life ever occurring.  ²Here, we begin to see the ‘fingers’ of God and His ‘hands’ at work molding and upholding creation.
